A Chic ‘Luc’ For Winter
Have you seen the new line of sweaters from Luc Fontaine? If not, you’re in for a treat. Luc Fontaine has a gift for creating clothing that flatter ladies of any generation. The same piece looks as good on a woman as it does on her college-aged daughter. His style is powerfully feminine and always on the edge of fashion. Let’s take a peek at what he has to offer us this winter.
Luc calls this a ‘snow sweater.’ That’s a perfect name for something that seems woven from light, fluffy snowflakes. The open weave is what creates the airy feel without building bulk. This would be a good piece for ladies with A-frame figures. That draped neckline in white stretches the shoulders to balance a wider bottom half.
The pattern on the above- tunic is a masterpiece of clever design. Up top, it takes the form of chevrons angling downwards from the shoulders. The stripes switch to horizontal at the waistline. Since the sleeves and sides are so dark, the overall impression is a trim hourglass figure. The high waist gives you legs that go on forever.
Stripes aren’t the only trick this line has when it comes to shaping figures. Look at the neckline and side details on this mixed plaid and houndstooth top. Such a bold trim on the neckline can both accentuate a modest bust or downplay a generous one. The straps are placed just close enough to that matching neck to keep the attention up top, defining your waist while lengthening your legs.
These are just a few of the Luc Fontaine items on our shelves right now.
